Enjoyed a birthday lunch at Rachel's. Had French Onion Soup, Broiled Cod, Broiled Whitefish, all was wonderfully done. Mentioned to our waitress that is was my birthday and I was going to order the Molten Lava Cake. She came out with the my dessert and Happy Birthday written on the plate. The dessert was absolutely the best, ice cream, strawberries, whipped cream and a moist cake with chocolate pouring out of the middle. YUMMY!

It was my first time visiting after having driven past the place for a few years. I will definitely be back. The only thing holding me back for 5 stars on the atmosphere is due to a group of offensive and loud guyspemmmhad been attending some work event. They were so loind and rude the manager asked us if we wanted to move, which we did decline, and I saw a family ask to be moved as they had a child. While it wasn't the fault of the manager for these guys actions I really felt she should have asked them to leave. I will be coming back though, great food and service.

Very chill and quiet spot. The staff is very nice and helpful. The ribeye is so so good, I'll definitely come back again and recommend it. You can change the sides say for some great sweet potato fries. The smoked margarita counts almost as a garden salad. Cheers.

Good service on a busy rainy Friday evening. Both the food menu and the drink menu have a good variety of options. The food came out quickly and was well seasoned and was a good portion. The prices are very reasonable. We will be back when it gets warm to try the outdoor seating.

Rachel’s is one of our favorite restaurants in the thumb! Every time I come up I make sure to stop by. The owners are always around and so sweet and personable. I have never had a bad meal here and my experience is always amazing!! The pork belly bowl and sriracha bourbon burger are some of my favorites. The sushi and margarita are seasonal but also a must try if you can come by soon!

Fantastic food! And so nice to be able to support a family-owned restaurant with a wonderful staff and service. We loved the food so much that we ate there twice in one day! We are picky eaters too as a restaurant owning family ourselves. The salmon chowder was delicious on a cold Fall day. And the pork belly rice bowl was amazingly flavorful. We came on Sweetest Day and enjoyed their special menu which included prime rib and filet mignon, which were cooked to perfection! We tried three desserts: pumpkin cheesecake, cream brulee cheesecake and the homemade rice pudding (made fresh and served warm). All were spectacular with a special nod to the rice pudding. We drove three hours to try out this place and we are already talking about coming back! P.S. There is a highly acclaimed film called, “Bad Axe” about this restaurant that was on the shortlist for an Oscar—be sure to check it out on Prime Video, Hulu, or Disney.

Service was great! Dogs are allowed on the patio so my fur baby joined! Boyfriend got the buffalo chicken Mac and cheese (yummy!) and I got the Traverse City salmon salad! Went on a Friday after 2pm so it was quiet but it was definitely a cute spot.
